Relationships RX
Relationships develop and evolve by design or by default.
Let us help you develop the skills to effectively negotiate both personal and workplace relationships and prevent a range of human experience and expression from becoming destructive conflict.
The ability to access our and others greatest levels of intelligence is dependent on how well we develop and nurture our relationships. Our greatest joys and sorrows are connected to our relationships. Relationships RX supports you in making a commitment to a deliberate process of relationship building.
Pro-Active Relationship Building
A deliberate commitment to building relationships creates the context for their healthy evolution. Solid relationships sustain us through the creative process of navigating our lives.
Evolution is a necessary part of relationships because our needs and the needs of others are always changing. The responsibility for evolutionary relationships includes building relationships based on new or renewed commitments rather than past experiences- good or bad.
Solid relationships make it possible to take responsibility for our commitments and needs when they “appear” to be in “conflict” with others – without the drama. A difference in needs, perspectives, or manner of communication does not equate “conflict.” Conflict ensues when we back away from using our intelligence and relationships to process evolution.
Part of conflict includes gossip and “case-building”, in which people create stark separations from one another, generating huge distractions from personal and organizational goals.
Instituting and maintaining a Relationship Building process will help avoid the resource drain that accompanies conflict and provides the forum and tools necessary for responsible discussion. As a powerful leadership tool, the relationship building process allows us to take proactive steps to anticipate individual and group needs and supports us to keep our focus on goals, not drama. The stronger the relationship, the less drama.
Additionally, and very importantly, the relationship building process allows us to develop knowledge about human beings and to learn and grow from our interactions.
